    Help with posting

I'm completely illiterate regarding uploading pictures on the computer. We have a digital camera, but haven't yet stored pictures on our computer. Is there another way to get an image to post other than take a photo -- i.e. scan a greeting card?

Yes... I do mine by scanning. I have a HP scanner and I use the program that came with it. Image Zone...it stores my photos also. It is easy to stitch a 12x12 lo also.

I'm not a computer guru...by any means (just ask my kids...lol) But if we know what scanner you have some one will direct you. I could only give directions on this program!

Can't wait to see some of your stuff.

Once you have scanned something, do you know where to locate it on your computer?

I've never saved anything I've scanned, I've only copied. But I did find out I have the Paint program in my computer which I think works with photos.

Once you have located your scanned document - try scanning something and save it. You will most likely find it in a picture or imaging area of your computer.

We just upgraded to an HP (from a Dell), so when I scan something now (Vista operating system does not like our printer) I can find it in the Windows Photo Gallery. I know that is not where you would find it on a Dell.

Once you hae located your image,

Right click on your image and when the drop down menu appears you will see "OPEN WITH" about midway down the menu and PAINT will appear among other programs, just drag your mouse to PAINT and left click it.

Click on IMAGE and go to STRETCH/SKEW and you can adjust numbers there. I usually put in 25 and 25 for Horizontal and Vertical and it is generally the perfect size for posting. If it is too small, you can always undo it by clicking on EDIT and then UNDO. If it still too big, you can just click on IMAGE and to go to STRETCH/SKEW again and put in any number less than 100 to reduce. To enlarge it - it would be any number over 100.

If you need directions on stitching in paint (i.e. a 12x12 LO where you have to scan both sides because your scanner bed is not wide enough), let me know. I have directions for that as well.
