Just in case you don't check the Altered category, thought I would post this here too.

I did some very quick math and I am not very good at math, so if I have miscalculated, someone please correct me:

    3M Gold Tape
    1/4" x 36 yards (or 108 feet)
1 to 11 rolls are $2.71 per roll

    Sprapbook Adhesives EZ Runner
    1/2" x 28 feet (or 9.3 yards)
    1 roll is $4.85

In order to purchase the same amount of EZ Runner as in one roll of 3M, you would need to purchase 3.87 rolls @ $4.85 per roll for a total of $18.76.

So we have $2.71 vs. $18.76.

You certainly can get adhesive cheaper using a coupon or on sale, so even with a 40% off coupon on which you can generally use only on one item you would save approx. $1.94 per roll, making it about $2.91 per roll. However, remember, you would still need 3.87 rolls of EZ runner to equal the amount in one roll of 3M, which would still be $11.26 and you would need 3 coupons or wait for it to go on sale to get it at that price.

I love the ATG gun and feel it is worth the investment as well. Lisa

Okay - see I told you I couldn't do math! Thanks for correcting me!

The other figures are off a penny or two because I miscalculated, however, it is still a substantial savings.

I was just looking at the site - if I'm reading it correctly, you have to order the extra parts to use the 1/4 inch tape. But then when I page down, I see there is a brand new ATG 714 gun specifically made for the 1/4 inch tape. But I am assuming that is the only width tape you can use in that new "gun"/dispenser.

    Am I reading that correctly?

ok found where you are looking.

Yes I think you're right on that. I think most of the tape dispensers in SB are only the 1/4th aren't they?

if you're looking at 3M tape despensing guns make sure you're getting the gold tape, it's acid free.

I have the red gun for 1/4" tape. I don't really know what you need to use any wider tape for. Or you could purchase the yellow gun which takes the wider tape and also purchase a separate adapter to accommodate the 1/4" tape.
