I know this issue has been beaten to death, but i just saw this on another site! I had wondered if anyone has done this before and how well does it work? Seems to be a very neat idea.. But still uncertain on my end..

I have done this and I am very happy that I did. I have so much more room and it is very easy to find the stamps I need. I had my 2 DD help me one weekend. I got all the stamps off their blocks, indexed and put away.
It takes time but well worth it. I use the CD cases.

If I was going to do that, I'd use the CD cases also.

That is cool! I know I have read numerous threads on the unmounted stamps but I liked being able to watch the video. I personaly would do the laminate sheets.

    Thanks for posting Taffy!!

I use the CD cases for my unmounted stamps Taffy.. it's a terrific idea. I put up some photos somewhere here showing my CD cases in their racks.. I wouldn't even look at another way now.. this works so well.

    love.. Angie

I store mine in CD cases also. With the labels on the end, it's fairly easy to find what I want. I have not taken all of mine off the wooden blocks yet. I do have a lot. But when I get new ones, I put them on the static cling stuff instead of on the wooden blocks as with Stampin Up or I buy unmounted. One of these days, I'll get around to finishing the rest of them.

Ok, ladies, after you take them off the wooden blocks, how do you get them to stick to your acrylic blocks?? I'm ready to make the move, but I don't want to ruin what I have.

double sided tape or removable tacky tape, like what is used for posters, found at WM, I heard works. rubber stamp mounting supplies

I use the laminate sheets on a few that I had trouble removing from their original sheet.(big lots specials)

I'd love to try the CD case method with my wood mounted blocks, but I don't have ant of the empty cases left, threw them all away ages ago and I have no clue where I could get more, any ideas?

I've heard that you can buy empty cases and that is what I plan to do. As soon as I find out where, I'll post it for everyone who wants to do this.
