How are you girls doing who are getting hit by the snowstorms and strong winds? I know some are without power?
Carli's gram, I see you are online now, How is your area? Has SAM or Bonnie checked in yet this morning?

We had high winds blow through last night, here, in Utah. There is more snow predicted for Tues, Weds, Fri, with a BIG storm coming through this weekend. I love storms and we are all prepared for those times when we lose lights and such. However, I am with you Cali-girlfriend, I hope those who are having bad weather are well and safe.

I'm here - we got hit with 4 inches of snow Saturday (luckily, it's gone & I was able to get out today) today we've got 52 degree weather, heavy-heavy rains with flooding and 50 mile winds --- hope everyone is staying dry and warm. We had a huge tree taken out last Thursday, so I'm not so scared of the wind storms we get now - it was a 100 ft Douglas Fir that hung over the house and driveway and was starting to lean. Sorry to see it go - but glad it's down. (we've got firewood for years now)

Lowland flooding has begun due to the rivers running high and all of the runoff from the rain and dumping of snow over the weekend. It is not too far from home (or work), however, we are safe where we are located. The snow left as quickly as it came although in our area it didn't even stick. It poured all day and all night yesterday. Haven't been outside today other than to drive to work, however, I stayed in at lunch time, just have to watch for standing water on the way home tonight.

I just talked to my mom who lives near the Black Lake exit in Olympia. The area is flooded and the exit is closed due to water. Mom said that she heard some weird noises on her back porch last night and opened her door only to hear the screeching of a mountain lion from behind her door! (the back door opens outward instead of inward, which probably saved her from harm!) Mom quickly closed her door and looked out her window and saw the mountain lion on top of some boxes that were stored against the house! It was keeping out of the water that was flooding the mobile home court and woods by the homes! Mind you, this mobile home court is smack dab in the business area! So, the weather is affecting the wild life, too!
