Wow! You will be encouraging all of us to take our card making to the next level. Do you sell your cards? Would love to find a good outlet for my work.

I made for my friend Wanda's birthday in October. This card would be considered a "hybrid" card, because I have combined tradtional card making with digital. All of the graphics are from the "Shabby Rose Collection" digital kit by Dani B, that I purchased from Scrapbook-Bytes store online, with the excepton of the Offray Ribbon and the scalloped ovals, which was designed by me as a GSD file for the CraftROBO. The "Happy Birthday Wanda" on the scalloped oval was done using my CraftROBO and a gel pen. The embossing was done using my Cuttlebug and the "Stylized Flowers" embossing folder. The "Happy Birthday" on the envelope was done using my Hero Arts "Happy Birthday" rubber stamp, Versa Mark watermark stamp pad and White Opaque embossing powder by Stamp-n-Stuff.
The beauty of using the digital kits is that you can use them as many times as you like, but you only pay for them once. If you are selling your cards, you have to contact the designer to obtain a commercial license in most cases, however if you are only selling a few I think you just have to get their permission to do so. At any rate, always honor the copyright.

Thanks Gail! I have sold cards in the past that I was commissioned to make...but even at $25 a card, I was not making any money because of the amount of time it took to do the design. Now I could probably make a profit off of the red Christmas card I made, because it would not take long to knock them out. I may call on some shops in Amelia Island (I am in FL), prior to the Christmas season next year to see if I can work out a deal, but mainly my card making is my "passion"!Originally posted by gailteach:

Ohhhh, this is gorgeous! I love the colors and the little tags to spell out the name on the envelope. How creative is that?! The little butterfly tag is just the perfect touch too. I also really like all the dimension on the card. So beautiful! Can we get on a list to get birthday cards too
? Just kidding
about the list, but I'm sure your list would be quite long, lol!
Such beautiful work, anyone would be proud to receive that!!
