In this months Card Maker magazine, it told how to make a deminisional card using spackle like is used with sheet rock and brass templates. Here are 3 of my version of the card.

Those are so pretty. I used the same stuff(spackle) I think I called it (drywall mud) and added acrylic (sp) paint to it for color. What did you use for the color? They are alot of fun to make.

Ok, here are the directions direct from p. 61 of Sept 07 Card Maker magazine. "Use removable tape to attach stencil to a 2 1/2 x 3 3/8" piece of yellow card stock; apply a small amount of spackle on top of stencil, using palette knife to spread spackle over stencil openings. Carefully remove stencil for card stock. Set panel aside to dry." It only takes about 15 to 20mins for it to dry. You might want to mask the areas around the stencil to prevent getting the spackle on the outside edges of the stencil/template. I made a mess of my first one. Also if you get a small amount where you don't want it, when it's dry you can scrap it off with your fingernail.

I tried acrylic paint & chalk on it for color. The mag didn't use any color at all, just left it white. I like the chalk look better.

Oh, almost forgot. The spackle is NOT acid free so you probably won't want to use this on your los.
