John had quadruple bypass yesterday and other than the enormous pain his is in he is doing well.

Doctor said he did great. The surgery went as planned with no problems.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. When I would come home at night from the hospital I would read them and they made me feel so much better.

Praise GOD! I have been thinking about you, but knowing you weren't going to be near a computer. I am so relieved to hear your hubby is doing well. Any word on how long he has to stay in the hospital?

Michele, still praying for you and John. So glad to hear surgery was good, btw it's great if they have said that, heart dr's are reserved if they say that it is! One thing I really appreciated with my dh's dr's is they were all upfront. I guess they have to be, but somehow I it was all easier to deal with since they gave everything to me straight. I'll be praying the pain gets better today. I think it's even harder to have to see them in pain then to be in pain yourself. You remember to take breaks, eat, breathe! I know that sounds odd but you don't realize how much we hold our breath when we are under stress and it is exahusting on our body.

Somehow I didn't know you were going through this. I must have missed the thread.

Michelle, So good to hear that the surgery went well. Praise God! Be sure to take some time for yourself now, esp. to rest. Go home & take a nap in the afternoon. Don't spend every minute at the hospital even though I know you won't want to leave him. I know. When you've almost lost a dear one like this, you don't want to leave his side. But you must rest too. If you don't you won't be able to take care of him when he gets home. And when friends & family offer help, ie, food, clean your house, whatever, DO take the help. They care too or they wouldn't offer. I've been there so I know.
