What a nice surprise to go to my mailbox and find a boxed card from you! The flowers really look nice and my hubby was amazed that you had the patience to make all those petals and leaves, let alond the box the card came in! He wouldn't even try to open the box for fear that he might damage it!!! So, I had the honors of opening your lovely box and inspect your delicate and talented work, Angie! The flowers look really good in blue...just lovely! I can hardly wait to find a special frame for it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I will take a photo of it and have my hubby upload it to my cmputer so that I can share your card with everyone, hopefully, this weekend.

Judy, it was my pleasure. When you suggested I did the flower in Periwinkle Blue I just loved the idea and couldn't wait to try it. This flower is my very own design and when I first made it my hubby asked me what it was and I said "it's a weed" and laughed.. but he said it looked like a carnation. I've made a carnation before and it looked more real than this did.. however.. when you gave the suggestion of the Periwinkle I went looking and look what I found...

and this is another picture of it. I did the search for "Periwinkle" and it lead me to the flower called a "Blue Gilia" so you were right on the mark. I don't know about anyone else.. but I think I got it 'nearly' right.. but I am competing with the Creator so it's NO contest!
I'll leave it to you to upload the card. Thankyou again for the idea.. I now have a name for my flower.

    love.. Angie

Well, if that's a weed it's one of the prettiest I've seen. I think maybe we should all take my 4yo dd take on plants. There is no such thing as a weed! A dandylion is a flower to her and the seed puff is a wishing flower! I do try to stay a bit back from the wishing process as it makes me sneeze lol, but it's a delightful way to look at things.

Oh my gosh! Angie, you are right!!! The flowers you made DO look exactly like these flowers!!! You even were able to copy the leaf!! Wow! I don't believe that you could have done anything else to make these blue flowers look more like the Gilia than you have done! It will be fun to share, with everyone, your continuing talent and generosity put into these flower cards. What a sweet person you are!

    Judy and angie,
Well I be dang, if they don't look fresh picked. You can almost smell their fragrance.
They also remind me of Bachelor Buttons, an old fashioned flower, and I agree with Lori's DD, if it has flower it ain't a weed.
    Beautiful work as always.
