I went to a SU party today and these are the cards I made. This first one is my favorite! Where you see the flowers, this is how we did it: It's a piece of white mulberry paper. Then we stamped the flower with versamark and heat embossed it. Then we got the paper wet (not soaking, but very damp). Then we used sponges to ink it with the turquoise and orange. She said it is called "Botiquing (sp?)"

This one I left the sentiment off of so I can use what I need when I need it. I'll do it in brown on the bottom part.

The flower petals are all oval punches. The stitching is done with a gel pen. Leaves are a single leaf stamp stamped twice and the stem is free handed.

I love the cards. I think the flower one would be easy to scraplift. I bet you could create many things using simple punches. You gave me some ideas, that I want to try out so I can do Thanksgiving cards for the military. Thanks for sharing the techniques.

great cards Cindy On the first one did you emboss the flowers with clear embossing powder to work as a resist? If so then that technique would work on a coffee filter and tissue paper as well as the mulberry paper.
