Do you waste a lot of adhesive running items through the 900? I think the largest Xyron I would ever go with would be the 500/510. I have the X and 250 right now...
The refills are so costly for the 900 and wasting it is a concern.

I have the 900 and you're correct. You can waste quite a bit. However, it's great for large pieces. I usually run a whole piece of paper through and then cut my dies from that. I actually use the 900 a lot.

I agree...I have the 900 and the 510. I used the 900 right away when I first got it and ever since I ran out of adhesive I only bought for the 510. I wasted so much on the 900. But I am happy to have them both.

Have any of you ever tried the magnet sheet to create magnets?

I have a magnet sheet and I haven't yet. A friend gave me her 510 even though I all ready had one. She bought hers in a pack though so it came with one of each refill. I kept the magnet to laminate and another refill and I gave the rest to a friend. Found out the laminate to laminate was in the machine and my other friend could have used that! She wanted it to protect cross stitch bookmarks and some other things and the laminate to laminate would have actually done that. In exchange for the machine and all the refills my other friend got me the Creative Memories Tote Awsome!!

I have the 900 and I don't waste alot - however I wait and run everything through it at one time. I also, have the 250 and the x for small jobs! I use the 900 when mainly working on layouts or large quantity card making!

When I got my Xyron 900, I started putting 8x10 photos in my layouts. I wish I could add attachments so I could show you.

This is another tool I would not be with out...I don't ever waste as I always keep on hand small things to be "fillers", like tags, sayings, etc. I only buy the adhesive when I can get 40% or better off. Lisa
