I love to snoop through our local
dollar stores. Today I found the cutest package of metalic seashell charms that are nicely detailed but only 1/8th thick. They are actually a little girl's bracelet and necklace charm kit. It has 100 charms in it. They are perfect for cards and layout embellishments!

And instead of paying $2-$3 on patterned 12X12 metalic cardstock, I bought a nice variety of metalic gift bags. They are the same thing except they are made into bags...why not use these for scrapbooking?

And the Dollar Tree Stores carry an assortment of Wallies, too. So, if you keep your eyes open you can find some nice cheap supplies at these type of stores.

I am always looking for these kinds of bargains. The other day at the dollar tree in the party section I found these little tiles with words that you can make necklaces and bracelets. I got a couple of packages and went back a couple of days later and they were gone.

I can't stay out of the Dollar Tree. I love Miss Elizabeth's paper. I check it out at least twice a week. It's only about 2 miles from me. Was the charms in the crafts section or the toys. I want to look for them.

Oniska, I have discovered that also. If I don't purchased what I am looking at that day, it is usually gone the next I go back.

Dianacraftstoo, The little charms were in the craft section. There were only a couple of packages on display.

Also, I have occasionally found cute 'tweeze & twazz' in the area where they sell decorative hair supplies i.e. ponytail band and clips. Sometimes these have wonderful little dodads hanging off them that can be used for embellishments. And, yes, also in the party and wedding sections you can pick up glitter words and an assortment of paper doilies (have you seen the pink ones?).

I have also picked up discontinued items such as the Marvel punch press that sold for $20.00 and packages of tape runner with words and designs to embellish layouts with. And you can get 12X12 page protectors (ten count)on the cheap, too!

I always leave with a smile on my face when I find a scrapping bargain at my different Dollar-type stores, too.

We have a wonderful Dollar store that is too close to me. I seem to be going a lot lately since my son has ditched his roommate and is moving into his own apartment. Which reminds me . . . have you seen their dishes WOW!
I bought a 144 piece set of alphabet types the other day for $1. They are so cute and I'm using them on some picture frames.

These are all really great ideas and finds. I too love the Dollar Tree and also Goodwill gets all Targets seasonal clearance so I often find scrapbooking supplies there. Lisa

And don't forget my favorite shopping spot of all - my DH's workroom! Wow, I have found the best things in there. All kind of wires and fasteners!
