Does anyone know how to determine how many fonts are installed in your fonts folder? I thought I knew how, but can't seem to find it.

I'm having major problems with my computer being very slow and have run every virus and antispyware scan there is, and can't figure what is wrong, but my font folder takes forever to open.

    Lynn,
Go to C Drive, then Windows, go to your Fonts folder (don't open it), make sure it is highlighted (should be able to click on it once, NOT TWICE)
at the top of the screen go to FILE, then PROPERTIES.

    Hope this helps.

I've tried that, trying to get to properties, but it is grayed out and won't let me choose properties. I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, but this one has me frustrated.

I found it, had to go to Classic view and then click on list and it gives you the number installed at the bottom. I only have 2082 installed - lol Probably have that many in folders not installed. Guess I had better slim down that number.

With that many fonts installed its a wonder your computer is lagging! You might try using a font manager. They have some free for download at various free font sites. I haven't used one, but it might be worth researching if you want to keep all your fonts.

I know, my computer tech told me that with the new technology, it didn't matter as much how many you had installed. Think he probably had no idea how many I had - lol - I have been trying to find someone who uses a font manager for their input. I used to use Adobe font manager (or at least I had it on my computer - lol) when I was working, but I hated it.
