I made a composition book for my nephew for his bday - it was a lil difficult for me to do, b/c my nephew has so many interest.. but i made it a basketball one.. the cardstock is brighter orange - it looks yellowish in this picture - and i left the black part of the comp showing, b/c for some reason i liked the way it looked I made the lettering (his name) using the George Font (i think) from my cricut .. love that lil bug!

THANKS LADIES!! He actually did like it!

He needs practice with his writing skills and i thought if he kept a journal, that'll help him out..

Cass, i was actually concerned the swirlies looked a lil fem, but it didn't look to bad, IRL! TFL

Thanks for sharing this and for the idea of writing skills improvement. My DGD likes to write but gets in such a hurry to get her ideas on paper she doesn't think about legibility. Also, this is not so "foo-foo" she would be turned off.

I like the swirls also. Makes the ball look like it is moving. Great idea. As a teacher the more you can get them to write the better.
