Wanted to share what I have worked on today. I bought this basket and needed to dress it up for Thanksgiving with a Fall decor. I had printed paper that I found at Hobby Lobby last weekend. It had these fall leaves all over it. I cut out each leaf and then matted it with dark brown cardstock. I punched a hole in each leaf and used a beaded chain to attach. I cut some raffia which I rolled around the handle of a wooden dowel to make it curl. Then tied it to the handle of the basket. What do you think?

It's so neat. I love the fall leaves. Are you using it for a napkin holder or a bread basket?

Thanks, I have single size servings of crystal lite tea packages in it right now but I might use it for a bread basket on Thanksgiving.

The leaves are really pretty. You chose the perfect background paper for them. Nice job.

It looks like fall, and the way you have decorated it, it could be changed for each special occasion.

What a great way to dress up something that's otherwise plain!

Love the leaves! That 'is' a great way to dress up the basket and I like Judith's idea of changing it out with the seasons. What are you going to decorate it with for Christmas ?
