I've made scalloped cardstock with a corner punch before, but the scallops came out a little too shallow so I figured out a way to do it with my coluzzle small circle template. The coluzzle works well because there is a stopping point exactly at the halfway point of the circle. So you do 1/2 circle then move it over a circle length and cut the next 1/2 circle. I used a straight edge on my drafting table to keep the the template straight as I moved it across the paper. For the corner you cut the 1/2 circle and then 1/4 at the bottom. The only place you'll need to trim is at the corner.
I had to scan the carstock with a dark color behind because my scanner wouldn't scan it, but here it is.

I've done the same thing. It works well. (LOL - and I thought I was being so original!) Ginny

Do you mean this coluzzle? Using the smallest circle in this template?

Thanks ladies, but since I do have the mini monograms cartridge, think I'll just push the button - lol

Sounds like you are very creative!

No, I don't have the expressions, just the original, but sure am enjoying it. I knew I had seen the scallops somewhere, but just couldn't find them. It doesn't have an oval one, but round and square with scallops.

Ohh i thought you had the expressions.. With the expressions, you can make your 12x12 w/the scalloped edges.. I have the mini mono cart as well - and love it too!!

Do you have the expressions? Do you really need that much that you would print larger than what the small one would do?
