Has anyone ever sewn on a LO? I want to, but I am afraid of tearing my paper. If you've done it, do you have to do anything special?

I haven't tried it either and for the same reason. But then I don't sew much on fabric either..lol..just basic mending here and there. Maybe we could just try on some scraps first.

i just told my mom i wanted her old sewing machine for sewing on paper, she looked at me like i had completely lost my mind, or what was left of it, lol, she said i could try it out whenever i wanted to, i'm assuming i need to get a different needle to use? maybe something with a little less of a point? i think i might prefer to hand stitch... this i have done, i pre poked my holes and just put the thread thur where i wanted it...

Sewing on paper will not hurt your sewing machine. The thing you need to do is decrease the tensions and make your stitches long.
Short stitched will just tear your paper.
I like to do all my stitching before I make my page. In other words, stitch first then add all the goodies to your page.
    Good luck

you know, to be honest, i think a sewing machine just scares me to death... don't know what it is about them, maybe my mom telling me when i was little not to get my fingers close to the needle when she let me pull pins out when she was sewing... i dont know...
