I noticed that tallulah1 had posted that one of her favorite purchases is a lightbox.

I don't know much about using one for scrapping. What all can you do with a lightbox? I would love to hear some of your ideas and even post pics if need be. TY

i know most people use them for embossing. (think i have this right... you put the stencil down first. then your paper over that and with your stylus you trace the stencil.)

Could also use it for tracing a picture.

I love my lightbox. With a lightbox you can transfer designs, patterns & lettering by tracing and you can use it to trace or dry emboss with stencils. And you can do the above with paper, fabric, and more.
Once you have one you keep finding more and more uses for it.

ditto! Also a neat tip that I plan to incorporate into my upstairs craft room. Is a built in light box, I saw one in pics of someones scrap room. You remember those glass cutting boards that you used to see in peoples kitchen that had a metal frame around it? Well that was all it was but the counter underneath was open so she could fit her knees under and she had an under the cabinet light mounted under there, and just had to reach under the counter top and flip the switch on the light. I'll have to see if I can find a pic of it

That cutting board/lightbox is just too neat.

Gail, you are a teacher and you don't like your handwriting?? Remember, if you are doing it for family, they already know it and it will be special when done in your natural hand. Even tho I was a teacher, my handwriting didn't remain like I was taught, but it is mine. At least my kids, family and DGKS will know it's mine.
