Just playing
Tried making a white snowflake. Scanned with black background. Right click on background layer & click on "layer from background". With magic wand click on black area then right click on background (once there are the marching ants) & chose "layer via cut". The delete what ends up "layer 1". Have the snowflake on a transparent background. Save as PNG file. Just for fun I put on blue background & added a drop shadow. Really like the way it "pops" off the page. Working in PSE 7.
