    need your thinking caps on

Any idea how to turn a metal cookie cutter into a stamp. I tried just using the non-cutting side but it doesn't hold the ink. Thought about clay but that didn't work, either. Want to use it do a watermark type background for a page I'm working on. Ideas?

My only thought is to go around the edges with hot glue, but I doubt that will hold the ink either.

You could carve a stamp out of stamping rubber in that shape?

Do you have any leftover from trimming a stamp? I remember making a stamp from an old linoleum tile once.

Otherwise, you can buy stamp carving kits. Stampin' Up! used to have one. I just checked and eBay have the, Probably Amazon would too, or try a craft and hobby store near you. Here's an ebay one:

No leftovers & I need about 3" square. No linoleum. The ebay is out of AU so would be expensive to ship to US. Amazon does have some that bear more investigating. Thanks.

I stumbled on a solution by accident this afternoon. I was trying to cut a clear plastic disc (like the ones that come with DVD's) with the cookie cutter. I heated it on the stove & then "cut" the plastic. I had put a piece of fun foam underneath & the cutter accidentally cut it. Mounted it & it seems to work fine for what I want - just a watermark, no detail.
