Everything looks nice, Maria. The "Christmas" is upside down in the wooden tree. I love your MIL's nativity. Is it from Italy?

That's why I bought it b/c I thought the upside down Christmas was cute, lol!
I am not sure if the nativity came from Italy or not, I should ask her.

Maria, love your decorations. I think we have a similar silver star on top of our trees! That Christmas sign IS cute with the Christmas word upside down And your nativity scene is adorable.

We do most all the changes to the platform of the church... we have a real contemporary design with changing lights etc. well the pastors wife came up with these trees this year for the platform ... my kids made them and we were getting pushed up for time I spray painted them one afternoon. they have a changing light inside of them ... kinda cool for contemporary...lol

Wow, Clarinda! Everything looks great! I would love to see your tree in real life. How clever to decorate the stage that way. Thank you for posting some pics. I agree, nativity scenes do mysteriously get moved! Lol!

OK, I'm late but at least I'm getting this posted on Christmas. My sister made the Santa wall hanging; it's about 2 1/2 feet tall. His glasses keep falling off because the kids used to like playing with him. "Santa's boot" (it's what the kids call it) was made by my maternal grandmother. Part of our tree, you might be able to see some homemade ornaments. I made some snowflakes one year and I have a couple of wreaths that my grandmother made. BTW, I took (ie. stole) from home. I don't think my mom knows I have these. The last picture is a gift DH gave to DD; it's a "How to Train Your Dragon" book. He wanted to make it into a viking helmut.

LuAnn, What a beautiful tree and love all the handmade decorations. Santa's wall hanging & DH's gift to DD... too stinkin' cute!
Sometimes we just need something to hold onto as a reminder of those we loved. There are some treasures that will always make me think of special times with special people.

PS- Here's a pic of the Saranball for you.
