    Getting new flooring

This is both good & bad. We had water damage to our kitchen floor last Dec. & we are finally! getting it taken care of. Since the kitchen, den & living room all connect & we can't get any more of the old flooring, we have to replace it all. We've decided that since most of the old flooring in the large living room is still good, we are going to put it in the 2 extra rooms, one of which is my craft room. We currently have carpet in those rooms. Carpet in a craft room is not the best idea. The new flooring will be much easier to keep clean. But before it can be done, I have to pack up the most of the room & move my stuff somewhere! aaaaaggggghhhhh If you remember pictures I posted of my room a few years ago, you might remember that I have a lot of stuff & I have even more now. Of course, where I will put it temporarily is a big question. I can't put it in the other rooms because those floors will be redone before mine will. Mine will be the last one done so that gives me a little time still. We are also still waiting on the flooring to come in but it shouldn't be more than a few more days. I will probably have to stack boxes in the back "room" with everything else. At least, it will give me a chance to get everything straightened out & re-organized. lol I'll let you know how things go.

OMG Judy, that sounds great but overwhelming also! Good luck and hope all the move goes smoothly for you.
Keep your eye on the prize: a nice new flooring and an easy clean up for your craft room!!

I know how exciting a new floor is and how much work it is just to prepare for it. Are you taking pictures of your progress?

Yikes that sounds like a really big job. Especially the craft room packing up.
I'm with you on the carpet not a great choice for your craft room.

Wow that is a whole lot of work! The new floor will be really nice though! Maybe you can just slide some from side to side? Good time to purge? I don't think any of us do that well!

Lulu, I always take pictures of things like this. That's what saved us last fall when we had the water leak. I had pictures proving whose fault it was!

I do remember that incident. Will you do a LO of the whole project? It might be nice and cathartic telling the whole story.

I wish I was better at purging too.
