Found this in a cookbook recently and it was delicious!

1 boneless pork shoulder roast (3 to 4 lbs)
    1-1/4 c. ketchup
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    3 tbs. vinegar
    2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
    2 tbs. brown sugar
    1-1/2 tsp. ground mustard
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
12 to 14 hamburger buns, split

Place roast in a Dutch overn or large kettle (I used a Nesco roaster). In a bowl, combine the ketchup, water, celery, onion, lemon juice, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt & pepper; pour over roast.

Cover and cook over meduim-low heat for 4-6 hours or until meat is tender and pulls apart easily. Shred meat with two forks. Serve on buns. Yield: 12-14 servings.

I bet you could also do this in the crockpot. I think I will try that. Now I will need to hit the store for a roast.

Judith, I do something similar in a crockpot. I love it because I throw it in there and don't have to worry about it for hours!

I usually use a pork roast, put it in the crockpot fat side up, and put it on low for 6-10 hours (depends on your crockpot). Once the meat is cooked enough to just fall apart, I take out as much fat as possible, drain 3/4 of the liquid and then put in my favorite BBQ sauce. I cook it on low for another hour or two to meld the flavors and it's good to go!

My husband loves to take BBQ sandwiches to work for lunch, and you can get pork roasts for less than $2/pound - sometimes a lot less if there's a good sale.
