    Chickens in the Hen House...

4 Wyandotte hens, 1 Wyandotte rooster, 5 Australorp hens and 2 Naked Neck hens...

    2-28 chickens 001.JPG2-28 chickens 019.JPG2-28 chickens 015.JPG
1st picture is the Naked Neck and a Wyandotte...2nd picture the Australorp are having their dirt bath...3rd checking out the food...

The one in the 2nd picture with no butt feathers is the baby, she is just 6 months old, the big white rooster where she use to live, pulled out her tail feathers, they are starting to come back in...

They are so beautiful. Why did that rooster pull out her feathers? She looks like such a sweetie. Is Que still being a good girl around them?

Well, the rooster didn't like the little Wyandotte in with his girls! LOL She is the sweetest one too! LOL I can pick her up an hold her...Everything I knew about chickens got thrown out the door today! After moving them, then need to settle in and it can take a few days to a week for them to produce, well, first day here and we have 3 eggs! 2 Wyandotte and 1 Australorp! I am tickled pink, they are all happy...No names yet, but you all can throw some good chicken names out!

    2-28 first eggs 002.JPG2-28 first eggs 004.JPG
1st picture is 1 Wyandotte (the darker egg) and the Australorp and the second egg is a ex-large Wyandotte!...There are a couple of more sitting in the nest boxes so we may have more eggs today?

I've been calling them Que's chickie babies and she has been coming and going into the pen with me and so far, she just sits and sniffs them...If I let them loose in the yard, I think she would chase them, but I hope she gets used to them and thy all get along...

Loveeee the pictures... After having birds n they pulled their feathers out I would be nervous about the naked neck ones! Lol glad its natural! Love all the names. They are laying because they know you love them already! Wow that one egg sure is a big one! If you get a lot like that you may have to go up on price!
