Ok! Maybe I have PMS or something but, I am so frustrated with my Cricut!!! I went out and bought new blades but it is still ripping the SB paper as it cuts. I can't figure out what is wrong. I have changed the tensions and blade levels, and speed to all kinds of configurations and it just rips and rips. I have interchanged the mats even. I feel like I am losing my mind ('course some would say it was lost long time ago!) . What are the settings that you use for regular SB paper. I was using 3-4 tension and 3-4 needle levels, depending on the thickness of the paper. The thickness of what I am trying to cut at the moment is the regular typing paper thickness. What am I doing wrong? And yes, I have tried to contact Cricut, but they haven't been answering their phone...they are supposed to be replacing my machine. Maybe my lillte machine is just sick and needs help~~~~

Judy, set your blade to 2 and the pressure to 3, do you think that'll work? I"m sorry to hear you're not happy right now.. Oh.. have you posted this on the CMB?(cricut message board)?

    Hi Taffy,

I was going to post on the Cricut site and could not remember exactly how to get there (my bookmarks does not work on my computer so if I delete a post with pertinent info in it, I lose the information). And I am trying to ward off an evil migraine so my 'thinker' is on the blitz!!!

I will try the lighter tensions. If that does not work, I will go post on the other site. Thanks for reminding me, I appreciate that.

Hey! I joined your swap. It will be fun, I like Titles, too!

Check the blade depth. For typing paper it doesn't need to be too deep.

I'll be watching to see what happens Judy as I too am having trouble with tearing. It is most frustrating and seems to be specific places or letters. Lisa

Well, I tried changing the tension to #2 and the blade level to #3. Still it ripped. I am trying to cut a tag with the letter "W" in the center. This with the Base Camp cartridge. The letter consistently rips! Maddening! I have wasted a whole sheet of water designed paper. I finally just cut out a plain tagged and stamped the letters onto the tags. It does not look nearly as nice but it will have to do.
