    Water aerobics

I started in water aerobics this morning. I've got to get my weight back under control! I've gained almost 20 lbs in the past yr. I've still been exercising but my body is just not working with me. I ride my stationary bike from 5 to 10 miles a day and I walk 3-4 miles 3-4 times a week. It's like my body is telling me that it's just not enough anymore. I used to swim laps but my schedule just got where it wouldn't work. The timing for lap swim at our public indoor pool doesn't work for me but the water aerobics is perfect. I'm hoping it will make the difference & jump start my weight loss again. (Of course, if I could get my dr to increase my thyroid meds, that would help too! He wants to wait until Dec before he does anything different.)

Judy...Keep after him! Doctors only are as good as we push them sometimes...They tend to put things on the back burner because we are women! Have him test your blood again and ask what the exact count is...I got tired of hearing *in the normal range* when my body was telling otherwise! Normal at the bottom of the range is not normal! Keep bugging him or find another doctor! If this is your primary physician, you might do better to ask to see a Endocrinologist...I just switched over to one and my new tests are being done by her...

Just keep at it Judy...You will get through to them and things will get better!

Judy, what Karen said. Keep on him. I had to tell my endocrinologist that I was on too much levothyroxine at one point even though I was "in the normal range". I was having palpitations again and he begrudgingly did as I asked and guess what? I'm still "in the normal range". Hang in til Dec and then sic him!!

Hopefully like you said the water aerobics will also help. It is great that you are trying to make sure your
weight stays down also, that is so hard to do.

You definitely have to keep after the doctors. I see a few specialists. One of them is a cardiologist. I don't panic, but there are times he doesn't want to listen to me. He cuts me off. Very nice guy, but very frustrating. I love the physician assistant better than my rheumatologist..he is more proactive with my fibro. HE was also the one who got me a MRI on my knee and shoulder and discovered the torn ligaments.

I hope the water aerobics help. This is supposed to be one of the best exercises out there, less injuries.
