I need some ideas on what to do with some pictures I have. They were taken a few years ago of me and my daughter. We were in a commercial for a mayoral candidate and rather than videotapping people they took pictures and used those. Anyway, being that it was an "American" thing to do I was going to use red, white, and blue. However, I then looked at the pictures again. My daughter was wearing lime green so the red especially isn't going to work. What colors would you use? Oh, BTW, my shirt was white and blue stripes.

Could you post the photos? That would help.

Ahhh, but lime green and red do work together. I have also thrown in orange and aqua with lime green and red - see the photo in the bottom middle - the mat has all those colors. I will scan the paper so you can see it - that's if you want to get away from the patriotic theme.

Cassie, I can't post the photos. They aren't digital and I don't have a scanner.

Bonnie, thank you for reposting that.

Cindy, use a blue with touches of red maybe in the title and shadow the title on white. You get your patriotic colors without being overpowering.

I think that you should be able to find some red and blue that will go with the picture. It may not be the traditional red, white and blue scheme but it will still give the patriotic feel to it.

I'm with Bonnie here...I love lime and red together. If you have a hard time seeing or putting colors together it might be time to invest in a color wheel. It's one of the least expensive tools out there but invaluable to any kind of artist.
