What is your favorite brand and colors of chalk? I need to purchase some, but it seems so expensive that when I look at it, I usually back out because I don't know if I will like it or not.

Great question, Lynn! I have tried chalk in the past, but gave up, because I didn't know what I was doing. Any hints or tips from chalkers out there?

If you spray it with a fixative sealer when you are finished, it won't rub off.

You don't have to spray anything on it. You just need to keep it out of the page protector for 24 hours so it can "set". You can use chalk to make shading and details on die cuts. You can turn something a different color if you want it to be "soft". If you tear paper you can chalk the edge that you tore. You can chalk using stencils. HTH

Okay, I admit it, I'm a chalk-a-holic . My favorite brands are two:

    1. Decorating Chalks by Craf-t Products. They are 'highly' pigmented and the set I have has 24 colors in it.

    2. The pastel set by Pebbles Inc. There are 30 colors and comes with a cool tool to hold the poms and you get three different sizes of poms for each two colors.

    3. Pearlescent Chalk set by Pebbles. Again, 30 colors and the cool tool and the little poms.

OM gosh - I don;t think I could live without chalk! I use it all the time. Yes just hold it out for 24 hours - I have never had a problem - and there is nohing better than taking a white piece of paper and doing nothing beside chalking! My DH even uses it on my model railroad! I have all types.

Um, I don't remember the brand. The chalks are little squares, from ACM. I think mine has 24 also.

Is this a good deal on the Pebbles sets? Most of the ones I saw individually everywhere else was $16.99 ea.
