    Hi ladies...
I have been so impressed with Janelle's roses and now Clarinda has had a go at them.. Now before you ask "but I didn't have a pattern" well not too many of you did.. Janelle got her pattern off me long ago.. before I decided to do the online tuition.. and Clarinda got a copy from her only last week. My intention was to include the pattern in the newsletter, which I still shall do but for now I have posting this INSTRUCTION SHEET so you can see the steps taken to make this particular rose. If you would like the pattern 'right now' then perhaps you could ask Janelle.. I'm sure she'll give you a copy.. It's not in a format that I can post here or I would

    Here is the instruction sheet....

I took a photo of these roses last night.. The two roses in the middle have not been given any curling on the tips but those on the right have. The shape on the left is the first layer of a rose and what it looks like after I've curled the edges a little.

Do we glue the joinings completely down or just 1/2 to 3/4 of the way?

Janelle, they are beautiful - I would love it if you could send me a pattern.

Looks like you are ready to decorate a cake - lol Remember making tons of flowers for cakes in the past. (not out of paper though)

    Atty and others -
These are made from 20 to 24 lb paper found in the office supply section of Walmart. It is the same thickness as "typing paper". They even have a pack of "parchment" colors that you can chalk or watercolor, etc. The paper is cheap and these are so fun to make.
PM me that you want the pattern.

Ok since Angie wants them here I'll post this picture... but I actually did it wrong!!

Angie asked how many layers I had... the directions had a large and small flower - well it was a long week and I had trouble reading and understanding... welllll I put them together....LOL.

I'v made a few more and did them right... . I don't have a picture of them yet. They are so addicting.
