I found instructions online for an origami goldfish - it is no kidding, 65 steps long with one sheet of paper! Needless to say I am at step 14. I am going to keep working at it, but does anyone else have any simplier instructions for a fish (not angel fish)? Thanks.

    Bonnie,

Wish I could help, but that is one thing I have never tried. I have seen simple patterns out there. Why don't you google and see what you find. Good luck!!

I did find another one that is 9 steps - not quite the fish I wanted, but 9 steps compared to 65...I think I can make this one work!

Grrrrrrrr - it took several practice runs to get anything that looked remotely fish like.

Here is what I have made so far, minus the dorsal fin in the instructions in the next post.

I just threw these on the scanner with one of the carp photos and a piece of PP so you can see what I am kind of up to (definitely not the layout(s) I'm working on):

you have more patience that I have! I would take a photo of the sample and use that! You seem to have such a knack for little detailed things. I would have a nervous breakdown if I had to fold a piece of paper that many times and expect it to look like something recognizable!!!
