    Hi All.

My name is Craig and I own a laser engraving business in Washington State. Lately I've been playing around with cardstock and results have been pretty cool.

Currently all I'm offering is photos and text. Text can be done on or around photos and can be any font. Cutouts can be made in any shape. I'm working on a series of borders and frames and should hopefully have a good selection within a few weeks.

I'm still looking for a supplier for cardstock, and all I have right now is cardstock from a book by American Traditional Designs which I can buy from Michaels. The cardstock has to be white core and I've been having a hard time finding a better selection in large quantity. I can't figure out how to post two pictures so colors will be posted next.

Cost is $10 for photos and $1.00 per word, any size for both. $10 minimum order and $4.65 shipping via usps priority.

I can be reached at scrapbook(at)ForeverEngraved.com

    Thanks
    Craig

These are the only colors I can offer at the moment. If you have a cardstock you want to use, I can do that as well, however, the white core gives the best contrast.

I'm also looking for ideas in general. If anyone wants to throw out some sugesstions, I'd like to hear them.

    Thanks
    Craig

Welcome Craig - where in Washington are you located?

Borders and frames - what is hot right now are swirls, flourishes and circles.

Can you cut chipboard? That is also a very hot item in the SB'ing world.

I'm up in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.

As for chipboard, haven't heard of it, but I'll have to look into it. It sounds like it's just dense cardboard, so it's difficult to say as different cardboards react differently to a laser. Thanks for the suggestion.

That's a really cool idea. Can you post some examples of pictures on the different colored paper? Do they all turn out blue?

I tried something a bit intricate with the chipboard and it cuts nicely. I'm not sure what else to do with it, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'll try it out.
