    New Camera

Well, we did it, made the plunge into DSLR (Olympus E3). Jessie & I have both had classes on SLR's (mine 30 yrs ago!) So its time for some refreshers. Any suggestions? I am a you tube junkie. Does anyone know of some good DSLR instructional videos,or blogs?

I played with it yesterday, and got some nice pics, but used a lot of automatic. I want to play with the depth of field some more. Thanks for any advice.

There is a class sign-up going on right now at Jessica Sprague's site for "Oh, Shoot". I took it last spring and it's a fantastic class and you'll learn all about your camera and how to use it. I highly recommend it!!!

    Karen,

Try going to flicker and looking up your camera and check forums.

Also, Dave's Picks -camera reviews will have an extensive review of
your camera ( Imaging Resource) I think. And it might give you some
    other forums to check out.

Check out some photographers pages, or blogs, sometimes they'll post
the setting on the camera as well as the picture.

Scott Kelby is a fantastic source for photography, books and online.
They may not feature your specific camera, but if you know where it
is on your camera, then it all pans out the same.

Try Olympus's website for learning courses.

    I'm learning as well!

    Good luck!

Yeah this is good actually there are many companies are making every type cameras and all the cameras have best quality and good result of photo but i highly suggest the Canon Rebel XT it is a pretty old camera and it is perfect for a beginner it is what i use it is simple, durable, and is awesome i am pretty sure it is about $200 or cheaper and i suggest buying a used one i promise you will fall in love with it good luck......
