I wasn't so sure about this one till I rolled down the flower petals.

I also thought it might be too bulky with the 2 colors of paper. I have an orange with yellow chalk shadding on back and a yellow with orange shadding on top... so it looks like a yellow with orange center and trim on petals. Now since I cut them with my wb the hearts are a little big so I will need to make it smaller or I'll never be able to put on a card or sb page ... LOL.

It looks just like the Tropicania Rose (sp) that I love and when our youth group was selling roses for Valentines Day my dh bought for me. I never did get that lo done. I may try cutting down the bottom and use it any way!

Hey that reminds me .. Avon makes a perfum called Roses, Roses it an old one but they do release it sometimes and it smells just like roses! I think I'll ask to see a current book! It would be great to get one of these and have it smell real.

Angie is indeed impressed.. and boy do I love the colour. Yellow roses are a favourite of mine.
Clarinda.. you've done such a good job.. the only thing.. and I could be wrong.. but it looks as though your rose sinks in a little in the middle but that as I said could be just be the angle I'm seeing it on. How many layers is it?
Regardless.. I love the look and I am trully impressed by your work. I'm just going to have to pick myself up so I can get back to doing my lessons with you all.

One thing before I forget.. Everyone.. would you mind posting your flowers (the ones you are learning re FPS) in the classes area.. that way I am sure not to miss them. Thanks.

love ya all.. and WELL DONE Clarinda.. Angie

Yea I'll post over there... I just had to get Janelle's attention...LOL.

You are right it does sink in the middle... when cutting off the tip of the cone I had trouble judging how much to cut off.

As far a layers ... like the directions ... I think but one layer and one more heart. I had a little trouble understanding it... like I said it was a LLLooong week.

Now these were a little big (but it would make a great corsage...LOL) I've been thinking about it and this is what I've come up with. I'm going to take a small cap (like antibiotic onintment cap the center cap is like 3/8) I'm going to line it with wax paper and put glue in it and cut off the bottom of this cone and set it in the glue with a little weight on top. This will seep up into the flower if it need to and will also give me a little platform to glue to page.

What do you think Angie will that work?? Well I'll try it and let you know.

I was showing my dd some of your cards and pulled up the dahliaa one I want to do one like that I bought some pearlize cream I think it would look great like this.

Did you have fun shopping ?? Did you buy some goodies.??
