Our flag will be out!
I've just gotten several emails from friends who are helping spread the word across the nation to get everyone to fly their flag on 9/11/2007 to honor those who lost their lives that day and to remember those who currently fight to preserve our freedoms. So, I'm posting the idea here to help in that cause.
Our nation was covered in flags in the weeks that followed 911 and there is hope that once again flags will fly proud from every American home.

Y'all don't always fly a flag? ...And please bring it in at night or have it lit out of respect, that's the correct way to display it.
'long may she wave!
And for those who don't fly one everyday, thanks for flying one now!

My DH always flys his navy flag below the American flag 24/7, 365, spotlit at night. Well, the wind just took down our flag pole for the 3rd time. This time it's going to take a major effort to raise it again. I hopw we'll have it up bu the 11th. He has to replace the pole. He's going to used galvanized pipe I think. The neighbor next door is a retired marine, so he flies his with the MC flag. His is also up 24/7, 365 and lit at nite.

Laura, are you saying that if you have your flag lit that you don't have to bring it in at night?
Lynn
Yes Lynn, that is correct. It should be brought down by sunset if it is not spot lit. (is that even a phrase??? lol)
Sounds better than spot lighted! lol
