I thought this would give you a good laugh or a good cry

If YOU WERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THE 70'S ...

You had that Fisher Price Doctor 's Kit with a stethoscope that actually worked.
You owned a bicycle with a banana seat and a plastic basket with flowers on it.
You learned to skate with actual skates (not roller blades) that had metal wheels.
You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)
You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island.
You had rubber boots for rainy days and Moon boots for snowy days.

You owned a "Slip-n-Slide", on which you injured yourself on a sprinkler head more than once.
You owned "Klick-Klacks" and smacked yourself in the face more than once.
You had either a "bowl cut" or "pixie," not to mention the "Dorothy Hamill". People sometimes thought you were a boy.
Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.
You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers.
You begged Santa for the electronic game, Simon.

You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny shredded outfits.

You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the trapeze.
The swing set tipped over at least once.
You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color. (Oh yeah!)

You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle).
You also had a pair of salt-water sandals. (is this an east coast thing??)

You wanted to be Laura In galls Wilder really bad; you wore that Little House on the Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in at least one school picture; and you despised Nellie Olson!

You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink.!

Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" or "feathers" and you kept it "pretty" with the comb you kept in your back pocket. When you walked, the "wings" flapped up and down, looked like you were gonna "take off"

You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends, Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie.

You carried a Muppets lunch box to school and it was metal, not plastic. With the thermos inside!

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend.

YOU had Star Wars action figures, too!

It was a big event in your household each year when the "Wizard of Oz" would come on TV. Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping bags!

You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: "Who will I marry. Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or David Cassidy..?"

You completely wore out your Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Fame soundtrack record album.

You tried to do lots of arts and crafts, like yarn and Popsicle-stick God's eyes, decoupage, or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom.

You made Shrinky-Dinks and put iron-on kittens on your t-shirts!

You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable tape player up to the speaker.

You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.

You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy Blume books (Are you there God, It's me, Margaret.)

You thought Olivia Newton John's song "Physical" was about aerobics.

You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heart or rainbow designs.
You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer.
You drowned yourself in Love's Baby Soft - which was the first "real" perfume you ever owned .. .

You glopped your lips in Lip Smackers Strawberry Roll-on lip gloss till it almost dripped off.

OK, When you stop laughing.......... This list made my cry I was laughing so hard!

Katy, I'm right there with ya! ALot of this was my early childhood too! My banana seat was blue with some clouds on it and my plastic basket was white and blue stripes. And my roller skates were red and yellow ~ think Ronald McDonald!

Yep, it was kind of a lemony/limey color.

You learned to skate with actual skates (not roller blades) that had metal wheels.
Loved to go skating at the rink with a wood floor.

You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)
    Sure did!

You owned "Klick-Klacks" and smacked yourself in the face more than once.
Today they are considered a weapon and dangerous!

    You wore a poncho...
And my brother ruined my favorite lemony/limey striped poncho (I think I see a pattern here) when he was swinging an empty (or so we thought) open can of paint and the paint landed on my face and poncho. I had to walk into my parents restaurant after my brother tried to wash it off with mud puddle water, and my dad had to use turpentine to get the paint off my face, I had to get my haircut to cut the paint out and my poncho was ruined.

You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny shredded outfits.
Didn't have the dolls, but definitely watched the show. In fact, my brother and I got into an argument one Friday night over me wanting to watch it and he wanted to watch Jacques Cousteau

You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle).
Yep, I went through several pairs of blue Dr. Scholl's.

You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink!
LOL - Oh how I wish!

Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" or "feathers" and you kept it "pretty" with the comb you kept in your back pocket. When you walked, the "wings" flapped up and down, looked like you were gonna "take off"
LOL - I certainly remember this 'style', however I could never figure out what to do with my wavy hair and it never seemed long enough to do anything with.

You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: "Who will I marry. Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or David Cassidy..?"
Darn, you know all my secrets.

You completely wore out your Grease and Saturday Night Fever soundtrack record album.
LOL - I still have these albums.

You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable tape player up to the speaker.
And tried to write down the lyrics to the songs by playing it over and over again. Also used the microphone to the tape recorder to sing into my mirror.

You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.
LOL - I was a deprived child, so when my mom took me grocery shopping with her, I stood in the magazine aisle to read these. On occasion I would buy a magazine or two and plaster the photos on the wall in my room. I was especially smitten with Scott Baio.

You drowned yourself in Love's Baby Soft - which was the first "real" perfume you ever owned ...
OMG - I think I still have a bottle of this in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I really should do a BOM with all of these tidbits!

I had notebooks upon notebooks FULL of sheets of me "TRYING" to get the words to the song by playing them over and over. All the little <STRIKE>redo's</STRIKE> scratch outs from the mistakes. OMG this is too much.

And those bannana seats on the bikes. just enough room to have a frined on the back for a ride. (much better than today where they Stand on the back tire)
