I know this has been a thread in the past but I desperately need a template/pattern for a 6.5x6.5 envelope for a birthday card today.

Many thanks for any help you can give me

Here is one place to look. I didn't see a 6.5 x 6.5 template but I didn't look at all of them. Maybe you can enlarge one of the templates here to be the size you need. Just click here.

Can you use a template from another envelope to copy and paste in word, then adjust the size by dragging certain sides as needed so the center square equals 6.5x6.5.

Here is a nice site for envelope templates. I tried the process I posted above with the basic card envelope listed on the site and it works, but you would need to use legal size paper due to the length of the bottom flap.

Scroll down till you see the templates, it is in the 3 row down, 4th (last) one over toward the right. Click on it to get the larger template. Then right click, choose copy, paste in word, and adjust size.

    http://www.red-castle.com/software/fw/printenvs.htm

This is software that you can use to make your own envelope templates. I don't know if you'd be able to get it to 6.25 x 6.25, but it might be worth a try. Or you can make and print out a template and just make it a bit bigger by hand.

    PS It's free

Thank you so much for all your help ...will certainly give the red-castle a try ...it doesnt go up to 6.25 but you are right that I can then make adjustments
