Here's mine. I was so excited to see today's lesson; I've been wanting to this for forever. But I didn't know which picture to choose. I may do another with "the boy" later today.

That is awesome what you did; you picked the perfect picture for this one.

I did this photo cuz I had done it before with a different technique & I wanted to see the difference. Here's JS way

    here's the other way

    There is a difference & I think I like JS's way better.

I agree with you about JS's way looks better, at least with this picture. Was the other way more complicated? I thought JS's way was so easy.

The other way involved the quick selection tool which was much harder to get a good outline of your "colored" area. And you didn't have the control on the B/W part of it, contrast, level, etc. Probably the same number of steps, just different ones but the outcome is dramatically different.

Are we having fun or what? Love the samples and can't wait to see what Friday brings us. Even if I never would do a digi LO (bite your tongue, Sam) just learning these techniques for photos opens up a whole new world.

    You're funny!

But you are right about these techniques opening a lot of possiblities for the paper scrapper. I may end up doing some digital LO's if I figure it out.
