I have not yet attempted making cards, but have been thinking about it. My question is this - how do you mail a card that has embellishments on them? Don't they require special padded envelopes or put "Do not machine stamp" on a regular envelope? Thanks for advice. Sue

I just put two stamps on mine. They will put it through a slot tool and if it doesn't go easily it costs more than one stamp. So I just put two on them, drop it in the mail and go about my merry little way. I've not yet had anyone tell me that their card was damaged in any way.

Thanks for the tip about the 2 stamps. I also just learned that you can mail anything as long as it will hold a stamp, an address and a return address. My friends DIL just mailed plastic water bottles with sand and a treasure map/invitation for a child's b'day. I also mail my handmade cards in the cellophane envelopes I get from Stampin' Up but didn't think to put 2 stamps on them. I'm learning!

well you might be able to mail water bottles but you can't mail your luggage!!! At least not unless it's in a box you just can't mail the actual suitcase Some people ahead of me were trying that one day

Oh, crud. I should have put a disclaimer on size, etc. That's what happens when you've read the article a couple months ago and figure everyone knows what you're thinking. Hmm maybe that's what my DH is talking about. LOL

I love to mail my special "messages in a bottle". Everyone always loves them, especially children. Instead to sand, I use confetti and/or candy! I don't remember what the actual cost is, but it wasn't expensive and it is worth it!

Confetti or candy. Now if that isn't the most clever............ I love this board.
