Do you prefer "dry" chalks or "wet" chalks? I have dry chalks but always feel like I'm wasting so much with all the dust that it creates, and I can never get the color the shade of darkness that I want. I was thinking about those cat's eye chalks. Does anyone have those? What do you think of them?

When you use them, do you use them as you would chalk, or ink?

I bought a light blue chalk pad at Joann's with a coupon. It seems like you would use it like ink more than fill in but I guess there's probably a way you could take a brush and use it like you would chalk.

BTW are you having problems on the 'other' board? I can't post a reply and it says I'm logged in but I can't log out.

I thought it would be more like ink and not really like chalk. Maybe I'll have to try those pencils you wrote about. And surprisingly, no, I'm not having trouble on the "other" board. Maybe I will tomorrow when I try to post a picture.

yeah it's hit or miss with me. I couldn't post on it just now and once yesterday. Then I waited until really late and then I could :-P

I think the chalk inks would give a nice water color type effect. Like maybe the colors in classic pooh.

I'm having a lot of trouble on and off on the other board. Sometimes I can't see the photos and sometimes I get the HGTV board instead.

Do the wet chalks dry out?

hmm? Like a regular stamp pad would I'd assume they'd dry out too. Haven't had mine dry out yet. So I'd store them upside down just like I do all my others.
