DH, DD, and I are going to bring in the New Year with praise, prayer, and worship at home. We thought it would be a great way to start off the New Year.
To all the SAS gang...
Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy, and Scrappy New Year!!
What are your plans for tonight? One year I spent the evening Scrapping which was very fun and I recently read an article suggesting that scrapbooking on New Years Eve was a nice way to ring in the new year...I was ahead of my time for once. I might work a little bit today but tonight we have an invite to a family party.
Hope you all have fun!!
Maria

I will probably be laying in bed. And as soon as the ball drops, I will go downstairs, kiss hubby, and then go to bed, lol.
Rose, I like your idea of praise & prayer for the new year. I also like Maria's idea of scrapping the new year in. Maybe I'll combine the too. Or maybe I'll just sleep it in like dh is planning to do.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13
Too cool! Not many families do that. I used to love to go church on New Year's eve to do just what you are planning on doing.

I will be in bed (I'm a old fuddy duddy,LOL). My Grannie comes home tomorrow ( I got my Christmas wish). We got her out of the Nursing home, it was just awful. So I'm going to stay with her during the day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!!

I'm not one to venture out into large crowds (unless something's on sale, that is, so I always lay low on New Year's Eve.
There's supposed to be snow on the way for tonight anyway, and combine that + drunks on the road = 100% reason to stay at home!
I think I'll start the new year off by trying to get all of my craft stuff organized. I bet I'll be suprised by some of the things I find that I didn't remember having!
I am letting teen DS have friends over from church youth group to hang out and play games; I will need lots of caffeine and ear plugs!! LOL
Wishing you each a VERY Happy New Year!!
We have no plans tonight, just probably sit at home and watch movies. I usually am asleep by time the ball drops anyways. Hopefuly we will ge to see my sister adn brother in law tonight but who knows if they will come over or not.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe new years tonight!!
Am I the only party goer??? We have another couple joining us and we are going to the American Legion where DH is a member, for their annual Dinner/Dance. We go to the one for Christmas, New Year, and Valentines Day every year. Tomorrow, about 50+ are going to our local "Snack Bar" for the typical southern meal of cabbage and blackeyed peas so that we have "much moola" for 2008. Some will eat pork for good luck, others will select a different meat. Around that time, I'm doing laundry so DS can leave out again on Wednesday.
Happy New Year everyone, and wishes for health, wealth and happiness!!!
Judith
