OK. I purchased the original red sizzix machine from ebay. It was used and did not come with any instruction booklet. I was able to use it easily with a regular Sizzix die. However, I purchased a Cuttlebug die and I don't know how in the world to use it. I have the Sizzix converter, but not the adaptor. I purchased the adaptor today on ebay, but it will be a few days before I get it. My initial question is, how do you use the converter? I can't figure it out. Please be specific in your explanation - at 45 I'm getting a little senile! Also, I think I understand that you can use pretty much any dies if you have the converter and the adaptor, but which dies go with which tool? Thanks for your help.

WOW! I didn't realize that this was just a topic a couple of days ago! Anyway, thank you so much for the link. But now, I didn't see on that topic how to use the adapter. I get how to do the converter now and it worked with my Cuttlebug die. What about the adapter? How do I use it and when would I need it?
Thanks again for your help wannabe!

You would need it anytime you use something thin like the cuttlebug dies. It just slips under the part that presses down and I believe it is magnatized which holds it in.
