You put lots into that terrific card.
I made this card today for a friend who is moving into her first house in a few weeks.
I used a stock white card and went to town on it.
First I painted it with copper paint. Then I cut out the shapes under the letters, inked all the edges, then glued them down. Then I took some white foam letters I bought at the Dollar store and painted them with the same copper paint. Then I cut out the key shape with my wishblade (I had previously designed the key) 6 times and glued them all together. Then I put 4 coats of UTEE on it and painted it silver then dabbed on more of the copper paint. Then I decided on the size cut outs to go under it, cut them out, inked all the edges, then glued those down. Then I used 2 copper eyelets and tied the key on with some brown eyelash yarn.
Oh, I used my Fiskars Shate Express for the square and rectangle cuts.
Thanks for looking!
PS If anyone wants directions on how to make the key, just ask! ( I FOUND it! I used paint instead of the perfect pearls, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whzuoc1PQq4 )I saw a demo for it on YouTube, but I can't remember who it was, but it was really easy. And I'll share my GSD to anyone too, just PM me with your email addy.
You put lots into that terrific card.

WOW girl - that's absolutely stunning. I would love to have the pattern for the key, but since I don't have a wishblade, guess it wouldn't do any good. Love the card!

Wenoah that is absolutely darling! What a great memento for her new home!
What an amazing card!!! If someone gave that card to me I would make it part of my decor. Really beautiful job.
I agree, if this was given to me I would have to frame it! This is gorgeous!!!!!
Very nice card and great detail. Like the colors you used.

What a beautiful card. She will treasure it I am sure. I would frame it and use it as part of a wall grouping.
