Where is the best place to get one? What sizes of tape did you get? What do you use it on? What tape do you use?

    Thanks

I don't know if this is the best/cheapest place, however, this is where mine was ordered from:

I only use 1/4" gold tape, if I need a wider strip, I can just run another strip alongside it to make it 1/2" wide.

    I have the red gun.

Gosh! That place is only about 80 miles from here. Wish I had known about it when I was in Asheville in Sept. I would have been there and checked it out.

You can buy the 1/2" ATGs on eBay for pretty cheap. I prefer my 1/4" ATG, purchased at above-mentioned framingsupplies.com, which is the cheapest place I could find it at the time I was shopping.

I use mine on just about anything - even ribbon. I make a lot of cards, so it comes in handy. But like most tapes of this sort, "bond strength is dependent upon the amount of adhesive-to-surface contact developed. Firm application pressure helps develop better adhesive contact and improve bond strength." What does this mean? Well, once you put your two pieces together, burnish (rub) them to get a good bond.

framingsupplies.com has all sorts of different tapes to fit different uses, including the acid free and repositionable. I get the 3M 987ATG 1/4"x 60 yds. (not acid free) for my cards - it's only $2.29 a roll. Can't beat that!!
