I've noticed a few of us read mystery books. I'm always looking for a good book, a super mystery series or another author to add to my list of "must read". So let's list some of our favorites (or not so favorites) mystery books or authors. Here's a start with a few of my favorites:

Laurie R. King - love her Sherlock Holmes and Mary Russell series
Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak series that takes place in Alaska
Nevada Barr's National Park series with Ranger Anna Pigeon
Joan Hess - both of her fun, whacky series

Penny, I am a Nora Roberts fan as well, I have every book of hers that I can find, and all her JD Robb In Death Series, well except the latest reliese which I can't seem to find and I know they are in the stores because a lady got the last one when I went looking, bummer. Totol all books of just hers around 150, at my last count.

and the Harry Potter series (can't think of her name off the top of my head.

All the Babylon 5 series as well

If you up up for a laugh and a mystery, try Janet Evanavich's Stephanie Plum series of books. HILARIOUS!! I haven't read one yet where I didn't laugh out loud! I think there are 13 of them now.

The first one is ONE FOR THE MONEY by Janet Evanovich.

I wish I had time to read. Well, I read magazines sometimes.
I had an idea...maybe all of you that read a lot can swap books....like paperbacks that would be cheap to send through media mail or something.

Tammy,
You're gona love the new JD Robb,(AKA Roberts) Born in death. she has another one out, but HC, I only buy paperback, easier to store.
Christi,

Hvn't read Janet Evanavich's , will have to try her.

Going to bookstore is as bad as going to SB store, well maybe not as bad close 2nd.
