the plaid paper is wallpaper. The swirl stamp is from TAC and the sentiment is one of M's $1.00 stamps.

A layout and a card it just that short of time. I feel like I just posted that sketch and here's a card already. It came out really nice. I like how you used wallpaper. You know I just used that same Happy Birthday stamp on the inside of a card a couple of hours ago...maybe we we're stamping at the same time!

Thanks Cass, yeah we could have been. Too bad we're not closer we could have chatted while we created. :D

Love the card, Donna. It looks masculine. I have the hardest time making cards for the guys. I love flowers too much, I guess.

Beautful Card! Love it and the sketch is great. I don't know why, but I am so intimidated to do the challenges on here. All of your work is just awesome! I may have to give it a try one day though! It looks like fun! :D

Amyee please don't feel intimimated by any of us. We all love this craft and have our own style. Just jump in and have fun. Looking at the work that others create helps me with my own creativity, gives me ideas and also lots of inspiration.

Here are a couple of my efforts for this challenge. I made the yellow card too big-- 6x6 is just tooo much! I will try to cut it down. What size do you gals make square cards- 5x5?
Thanks,
Shari

Shari - Cute Cute Cards! I like the color combos on both of these.

When I do square cards, I do 5.5 x 5.5 (then I can use 8 x 11 cardstock for the body of the card) and send in 6 x 6 envie.

thanks Sam- it shouldn't be too hard to shave off 1/2" then.

*4/9/08 edit*
I just want to say what a difference that 1/2" makes!! Trimming 1/4" off each side and 1/2" from the top transformed the card into much better looking proportions!

Shari love your two cards. Great colors too.
I don't do square cards very often but do them the way Sam does.

Here's my version. This is the one I was asking how to color slick cs. As I figured, you can't really tell that the sentiment piece & the scallops are not just white, but they are not in person.
