View Full Version : Lori or anyone Deco Squares from scraps?

ok I think I remember this from the 'other' board years ago and someone I'm not naming posted this tip.

It involved scraps of paper of various small sizes that you couldn't do anything with really and they showed it running through a xyron and layering till they got a whole sheet. I know the end product they just showed deco squares.

Was this all there was through it? Just run your scraps through and layer and overlap? or was there something else that went with this?

It sounds to me like what you are saying is to take your scraps and "put them together" to make one whole page. It would be like a quilt. HHMMMMM.... that actually sounds kinda neat, lol.

yeah it was a bunch of different colors and a great use for those itty bitty scraps.

I have seen this but if you want to do this less expensively use some white craft glue to paint your pieces and then stick them down. A lot cheaper than xron adhesive

OK, got it... here is the website for it: http://www.scrapfriends.us/articles/deco_squares.html

That wasn't what I was thinking at all, lol. It's really neat! I bookmarked the site. This is something I'd really like to try.

yes this is very different from what I was thinking. the ones I was thinking of was is more like making a mosaic out of different size scraps

hmm Lori can you find a picture of what your talking about? That sounds cool too!

Yeah I don't know if I have enough scrappies to make these. I just had some endy bits from making my kits and I love the paper so much I don't want to throw it out! but it's to weird and small to do anything with.

I liked both techniques. I think I may one day try them.
