Nice card!

My quirky scanner didn't pick up the colors just right - go figure - the ribbon and the tiny flower are the same pink color as the pp. :)

Sam, I posted on your gallery but I'll repeat here, your card rocks it has so many of my favorite things paisley, scallops, new(ish) circle medallion things, and lime!

Donna, Love that, who's the flower stamp from? Is the paper printed or did you use a stamp?

02-23-2008, 02:42 PM
Thanks Lori, it's stamped using a tac stamp, one that I've never used before (just cut them up this AM) the flower is from the same set. Aren't they cool, am lovin them!
Sending you an email.

at this one. The scan has shading bc of the little bow and pearl. This looks more like the challenge.

Sam and Donna lovely cards. I want to know how you get the scallopped edge.

02-24-2008, 09:55 PM
Thanks Judith
It's done with the corner rounder. Mine is make by eksuccess, you just take the guard off and line it up. I think Cristal has instruction on her blog.

Judith, you could also use a coluzzle circle template if you have one. I've done both ways. The corner rounder gives a shallower scallop and the coluzzle makes a deeper (more like a half circle) shape. Another way is if you have a Cricut, you can make a file with the circle on george (i think) and then use the free trial design software to cut it out.

Guess the only thing really from the sketch is the scalloped border. Ribbon & sentiment just didn't seem to fit. This is a sympathy card & the verse inside says:
The tide recedes but leaves behind
Bright seashells on the sand.

The sun goes down but gentle warmth
Still lingers on the land.

The music stops, and yet it echos on
In sweet refrains

For every joy that passes
Something beautiful remains.
