View Full Version : Is this too much?

This is from the discussion on How To TV Online. It's a diamond fold on the folded edge of the card. Is the paper too much? It's just on with temp adhesive so can take off and use for something else if it is.
Thanks for your input.

I don't think the patterned paper is too much. I love the edge and want to know how you did it.

Have you ever done a diamond fold, Gail? This one is just done on the fold of the card. Got it from the How To TV Online (http://www.howtotvonline.com/index.php) link from Me?

Is it better with the corners done? These are 2 separate fronts so can go back if need be.(I messed this one up so was practicing on it. Would do the other one for real)

Great job the paper really makes it stand out i wouldn't change it.
The Diamond fold, was it done free hand or with the templates that are in the store? I've been really considering getting them. (love the look) but cant justify the price i've seen for just 1 template. Been trying to figure out if i can do it free hand.

I like it better with the corners cut. Just my opinion.

I got the instructions for the side from How To TV Online (http://www.howtotvonline.com/index.php). You have to sign up for it but it's free. The template for the pp piece is American Traditional brass template "arrow round". I used a brass template for the edge, too, but she was showing a plastic one from Hot Off the Press/Paper Pizazz. Also, if anyone has Sherree's first CD from the other board she shows how to make your own (cut n tuc). I'll be glad to share that with you if you wnat to PM me e-mail addy. It would come as a word.doc attachment.

I like them both, but prefer the second one because there is more interest for the eye. On the second one I would move the square up just a bit like on the first card. The square looks too centered on the second card to me http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. This is really a very pretty card and I really like the edge that you did. I also love the colors. Very, very pretty.
