I ended up ordering book one and two from MEMORY Makers, Cutting Edge Photo Cropping for scrapbooks.

They are FANTABULOUS!!!! Wow! They are full of creative ways to crop photos...way beyond what I would have thought of doing!! But, the instructions are simple, simple. The examples in the books are actual colored photos of someone doing each layout step-by-step. Just looking through both books get my creative juices going. I think these are a 'must have' for one's scrapping reference library! I'm so happy I bought these.

I will try to do a layout using one of these cropping methods with the baby raccoon photos I need to share with you, all. http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Did you order them from the Memory Makers website? I think I need to check them out.

I'm looking forward to seeing the babies also.

Actually, I ordered them from Amazon.com. They had some really good deals on them from private sellers....some used and some almost new. I think they are certainly worth every penny I paid and I am not a collector of how-to books, so I am very picky.

I will really try to get those babies scrapped right after I finish my last swap that needs to be in the mail next week. Right now, I am so tired...the grandkids have worn me out with a very trying week...but, I love 'em even so....[..Y..A..W..N..].

I'm glad you like your books. After talking about it here I went out and purchased the Memory Maker's Creative Photo Cropping for Scrapbooks - the one you originally found at the library. It IS a wonderful book loaded with great ideas.
I found my copy at Borders bookstore. I had some Borders Bucks coming to me from my Borders Rewards so I got it at a discount.
My favorite on-line book source for used and hard-to-find books is alibris.com
Even though I live in the homeland of Amazon.com I don't do much business with them. Delivery to those of us who live in their home town stinks. Go figure.

I'm so glad that you also agree that this is a great book! You and I are going to have a fun time trying out new cropping techniques!!! You got a better deal on your book than mine! Good for you!

Have you used your book, yet? Do have any layouts using some of the patterns in it? I took some great photos, today that I think will work for some creative cropping.

We should all post a samply of our work as we finish a project from this book!

You will have to post a layout with one of the cropping methods. I am going to when I get a chance to scrap the photos of my baby raccoons. Kudos to you! Congrat's on your fantabulous purchase!!!

Great buy from ebay - Don't know what it is about me, but I can never find a good deal on ebay. Didn't see any of these books except the ones that were buy now. Still a little cheaper than at Amazon.
