When do you ladies have time to do housework(bad word), cook, shop, look after kids, etc.? I wish I had the time to crank them out like you do. They are great.

Ziggy those are just a punch.... Here is a pic of the punch flower... I put two together and as you can see you can make two different flowers...I would flip all the blue petals to the back and bring the pattern paper petals to the front for the one flower and do just the opposite for the 2nd flower. I used this a lot when I first started scrapping because I didn't have much at all to work with. And of course I used stickles on the ones on the card. Hope this helped!!!

I got that flower punch about 2 years ago at JoAnn Fabrics, I think because at the time it was the only craft store we had in town.... It is a EK Success brand.

Lisa, Sam, and Nancy just luv your cards they are beautiful.

Ok here is mine, I haven't adhered everything because I asked Danny if it looked alright and he said the blue and the red just don't go, so thought I would ask you wonderful ladies and see what you think about my card before attaching everything.

Before I make a comment can u tell me what color the background and the card colors are?
It really doesn't look bad, but it the other color lavender?

b/w and the stamp I colored in

Atty

I don't know, maybe if you had gray squares, or a softer blue. The scan makes the paper look lavender.,
Oh maybe a lavender squares with purple and lavender flowers?

Tammy, I don't think it is so much that the blue and red don't go but more that the red flowers (which I love!!)seem to overpower the stamped image, the blue goes well with the stamped image though, perhaps a softer flower?

If you want to use the red and blue ...how about trying different colored background maybe a red with a light bit of blue in it or even a white with a bit of blue and red in it...Please show us what you decide to do...

thanks guys, I will post when I decide on what colors, I am so color challenge at times

Cass17
05-01-2007, 01:18 PM
I agree - I love the flowers, but they do overpower the rest a little. I would try to add some red in somewhere like maybe mat the black rect. on red and only have it stick out a tiny bit? or...change the black to a patterened paper that may have some blue and red in it, but not a very busy or bright pattern.

I'm a bit slow getting my card posted, especially since I've had it made since Sun. I bought some embroidered fabric a couple weeks ago & made a skirt from it. I had just a few inches left so I cut out the flowers from it. That's what I used here.

Judy very, very nice. Wow stitching..love it. Also like you sentiment. Of course love the color combo, one of my favorites.
I need to get this one done.
Nancy, I have that punch but don't think I've ever used it that way..hmm bet that's the way it was intended to be used....LOL thanks
