View Full Version : LO from Page Maps
This is one of the Sketches from Page Maps it was suppose to have one more photo in the middle but didn't have one. http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif The TAC stamp at the bottom is really pretty and I used that fluid chalk ink in Pink Pastel.
This is my DAS's girlfriend on her bday.

This is such a pretty layout Donna... love it!
When you say 'fluid chalk ink' I am assuming you mean a stamp pad, yes? What brand is it? I recently bought a ColorBox Petal Point Fluid Chalk Option Pad... it has eight colours.. that form a sort of flower.. each colour is a wedge. I chose the colour combination of 'soft pastels'.
I haven't used this yet except once and I was only playing.. I stamped a fern onto some glossy paper. I was truly amazed at how wonderful it came out. I had to pass my heat gun over it but it stamped perfectly and came out looking like a photo.
I'm definetly on the look out for other brands of the same thing.
One other question.. Did you stamp the white border at top and bottom yourself and have you corrugated it? Sorry about all the questions.. I just love what you've done.
love.. Angie
Thanks ladies, yes she is such a pretty girl.
Angie the fluid chalk is made by Color Box and is a stamp pad. I just love the affect this product gives. I have several colors now and find they are very vesatile. The gal at the stamp store used this product to make the background for a card by just rubbing it on the paper...oh just beautiful, so of course had to buy some. I will have to look for those that you have talked about. As for the paper that is the way it came, it's really just small flowers and squiggles and then I put a pink multi stripe in the middle. The top has pink ribbon and the bottom yellow where the papers meet. HTH

Donna... what you have is just one colour. That is good. I love pinks so I might get the Pink Pastel one.. I love it.
I saw these ink pads being demonstrated at the craft show I attended recently.. and yes.. she was using them to make a background. The woman was using one of the petal point pads.. she said she had had it for five years and had also bought the refill bottles for the eight colours.. said that it would probably last her more than another five years.. wow.. I'd like to think she is right http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Here is a pic of the one I got.
love.. Angie

LOL I remember being in Michaels and a lady standing next to me saw one of the petal points and was like how do you use that? So I told her how I thought you'd use it http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I've also told people who were buying stuff that it was on sale somewhere else! or on sale cheeper http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif granted sometimes the selection was differnt so they bought from there and would return if they found better at the other store http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I think I have some of those in my PO box from my friend. I deffinalty need better storage for those things. I need a wall of shelving but we live in an apt

Angie,
Those look really interesting. I do have the regular ones like that but not the chalk, so will be on the lookout for them now! Would love to see some things you do with yours.

very pretty lo. fluid chalk, ummm, what's the diff, between that and a reg. stamp pad.
The fluid chalk gives a much softer line to your stamped images. Love it. I bought several on sale at HL.
Geesh just read this and had to fix all those typo's. http://forum.startascrapbook.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
